Mildred Smith, B.S.
Mildred Smith supervises all educational services provided through
the DCMHS
pre-school and adult Developmental Disabilities
programs. She received her B
achelor's
degree in Health and Physical Education at Langston
University and has had additional graduate training in Special Education
through Delta State University. She
has been with DCMHS since 1990. She plans and prepares all Developmental
Disabilities Service Grants, monitors service delivery in both the Greenville
and Cleveland sites, fosters positive relationships with community agencies
in coordinating treatment plans for consumers, and evaluates program goal
development in the realm of Developmental Disabilities. She further assumes
responsibility for assisting residential consumers with management of their
funds and cosigns consumer checks for their personal expenses. She has
a broad range of experience in working with the developmentally disabled.
