Dean Dewall earned his Bachelor's degree in Economics and has worked as a quality assurance consultant to over 50 community mental health centers across the Unitited States. He has been with DCMHS on a full-time basis since 1996. In his capacity as Region V Quality Assurance Coordinator he provides consultation/assistance to administrative and clinical staff in recognition of opportunities for improvement in consumer care, develops criteria for strategic program planning, aggressively monitors service information for the purpose of determining the results of program and administrative activity (including attention to standards for accreditation), and establishes necessary data bases for managing/monitoring important aspects of care. Dean is also active in facilitating quality records management and for tracking service levels, admissions, and discharges. He is the chief source of DCMHS expertise in data processing, being particularly well trained and experienced in the use of our IBM AS400 data management system.
