Quality Control Services
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Program at DCMHS is to ensure
that, within available resources, 1) services are delivered in such a way
as to result in the achievement of our mision, 2) services offered conform
to the highest standard of care, and 3) service delivery is efficient and
appropriate to the needs of our consumers. To this end, we maintain an
ongoing process of examining our clinical work both from the standpoint
of internal peer-review/supervision and through annonymous consumer
surveys. When indicated, corrective actions are implemented to solve problems
and improve care. Programs at DCMHS are also reviewed regularly by external
authorities such as the Mississippi State Department of Mental Health,
the Division of Alcohol/Drug Abuse, the Bureau of Mental Retardation, the
Mississippi Division of Medicaid, and
regularly scheduled fiscal audits. DCMHS has maintained its certification
by the Mississippi State Department of Mental Health and the Mississippi
Department of Health since first opening over 25 years ago. We are proud
of the work that we do.
